On the first day of our Enduro MTB journey, we’ll tackle Colombia’s longest trail: the Los Nevados Natural Park Trail, also known as El Desquite Trail. This high-mountain trail, situated in the Central Mountain range, spans 22.3 kilometers. Let’s go to shred 2,394 meters of elevation loss in just one trail.
On the second day of our Enduro MTB journey, we’ll explore four trails situated in the mid-mountain buffer zone of Los Nevados National Natural Park, near the charming city of Manizales. Known locally as the Guacaica River Trail, Avocado Trail, Sugar Cane Trail and Hummingbird Trail, these singletrack trails span a combined distance of 15.7 kilometers and feature an exhilarating elevation loss of 1,848 meters.
Upon your arrival whether at Pereira or Armenia International Airports (with codes PEI, and AXM respectively), our staff will be waiting for you at the gate. They will assist you with your luggage and ensure the safe transportation of you, your bike, gear, and fellow biking enthusiasts to your chosen accommodation.
For those already be in the coffee region, our team will coordinate with you to arrange a convenient pick-up from your lodging. In the evening our crew will meet you and we´re going to enjoy a great welcome dinner and organize all the details about our MTB tour.
In the early morning, we’ll depart from Manizales by car towards the central mountain range near Nevado del Ruiz, locally known as “Páramo de Letras”, situated approximately at 3800 meters above sea level. Here, our biking adventure will commence on unpaved paths, traversing a unique ecosystem of the tropical Andes where, with some luck and keen observation, we may spot wildlife such as the Andean Bear, Andean Condor, and Bearded Helmetcrest Hummingbird. Following a few kilometers, we’ll embark on one of Colombia’s most thrilling descents: the Los Nevados National Natural Park Trail, affectionately dubbed “El Desquite Trail” by local riders. Stretching 22.3 kilometers and an elevation loss of 2,394 meters, this trail is renowned among Enduro MTB (All Mountain) enthusiasts for its challenging terrain through lush Andean forests and grasslands. Descending from 3711 to 1756 meters, riders will encounter exhilarating obstacles and breathtaking scenery along the way.
Following the ride, a delectable lunch in a traditional local farm awaits you, serving as a well-deserved reward for successfully tackling the day’s cycling challenge. This satisfying meal will not only refuel your energy but also provide a delightful cultural culinary experience that complements your adventure.

This 6 km trail is a diverse mix of singletrack and doubletrack, featuring a 511-meter elevation loss as it winds through lush Andean jungles and tree plantations. Starting north of Manizales, the trail concludes at the picturesque Guacaica River.
This 4.7 km singletrack trail offers a thrilling 569-meter elevation loss, weaving through lush avocado plantations and remnants of Andean jungles. The trail begins on a hill that provides an excellent panoramic view and ends at the serene Guacaica River.
This 3.1 km trail features a dynamic mix of singletrack and doubletrack sections, offering an exhilarating 464-meter elevation loss. The trail winds through vibrant sugar cane and coffee plantations, beginning in the town of Neira and concluding in the heart of the coffee region. Along the way, it provides an exceptional cultural experience with panoramic views of the picturesque Manizales coffee landscape.
Although the Hummingbird Trail is only 1.9 km long, it offers an exhilarating 404-meter elevation loss. This singletrack trail crosses through lush coffee plantations and banana crops.
