Arrival to Medellín International Airport (Code: MDE. Name: Jose Maria Córdova) where our staff will wait for you at the gate, help you with your luggage and drive you to your place of staying along with your bike, gear and biking buddies.
In the evening our crew will meet you and we´re going to enjoy a great welcome dinner and organize all the details about our mtb rides.
Santa Fé de Antioquia is a colonial town by the Cauca river that sits at 500 meters above sea level (1640 feet), located 60 kms (37 miles) west from Medellín and full of summer houses with swimming pools. It’s surrounded by mountains
as tall as 2600 meters (8530 feet) which means plenty of epic downhill trails are found in the area. From all of them, there are 3 that happen to start at the same summit with stunning views and desert-like conditions. Enduro national races have been hosted in this trails and even during rainy season, these trails still offer predictable riding conditions.

Santa Barbara is a small t est of the year mountain bikers are welcome to the area to ride the trails that have hosted two enduro national races.
Bonds between the mountain biking community and the locals are tight, working together to maintain the trail conditions and to help with the community’s needs.
All the trails arrive to an abandoned cement factory in a village called “El Cairo”, hence the name of the trail network. After a wood cooked typical Colombian breakfast with stunning views and some birdwatching, we start to ride. Shuttle vehicles take care of the climbing to quickly discover each trail and then decide which ones deserve more laps. After riding till exhaustion, we finish the ride by cooling our bodies in the river sharing a beer and then drive back to Medellín, stopping midway for much deserved lunch.
Long and steep downhill tracks with vertical drops of up to 1500 meters. Berms, jumps, rock gardens and breathtaking views. A one-hour drive with gorgeous views of the city and dairy farms will take us to a village known as Llano de Ovejas, sitting at 2548 meters above sea level, where four different trails go all the way down to San Jerónimo, sitting at 780 meters above sea level. All these trails are favorite between the local downhill riders and feature single tracks plagued with perfect berms, small kickers and technical sections such as rock gardens or steep chutes with sharp corners.
After more than 17 kms of downhill and while our bikes are loaded in the truck, we will enjoy a much deserved cold beer to take us to a picnic place by the river near San Jerónimo.
The Colombian coffee cultural landscape, declared by UNESCO as an intangible heritage of humanity, is a mixture of architecture, traditions, gastronomy and unique landscapes in the world.
Today we will take an air transport to the department of Quindío. A tourist department that offers us beautiful cultural and gastronomic scenes. And of course, the best trails.
On this thrilling enduro day tour, you’ll conquer two extensive and exhilarating trails situated in the pristine highlands of Salento municipality, nestled within Colombia’s picturesque Quindio department, part of the UNESCO-listed Coffee Cultural Landscape. These two trails are known by the local mountain biking community as the ‘Nieblas Trail’ and the ‘Alegrias Trail’, these trails collectively span an impressive 9.7 km and boast an elevation loss of 1,305 meters. These iconic trails, Nieblas and Alegrias, have played host to numerous prestigious national downhill and enduro competitions, including the renowned National Enduro Cup of Colombia.
Explore the thrill of enduro mountain biking in Salento, Colombia, on an adventure that begins in the town’s main park, where you can taste a traditional coffee from local farms. We’ll then hop into a 4×4 vehicle to ascend the Central Mountain Range, reaching an elevation of 3,050 meters (10,006 feet), the starting point for our exhilarating journey on the «Nieblas trail».
NIEBLAS TRAIL
This 3.9 km singletrack trail boasts a 514-meter elevation loss, weaving through Andean jungles and tree plantations. Before starting to descend the Nieblas trail, we will meet a peasant family who will share with us a typical breakfast of the region.
ALEGRIAS TRAIL
The end of the Nieblas trail marks the start of our next adventure on the «Alegrias trail», a 5.8 km singletrack descent with a 791-meter elevation loss. Widely regarded as the best trail in the Quindio department, Alegrias offers breathtaking vistas and diverse terrains. Expect to encounter grasslands, rock gardens, root-filled paths, Andean forests, tree plantations, and pure creeks as you traverse this remarkable trail.
Due to the fact that Alegrias and Nieblas trails cross the protected natural area called “Distritos Regionales de Manejo Integrado de la Cuenca Alta del Río Quindío de Salento», such trails are a popular destination for Mountain bike travelers seeking natural beauty and coffee culture immersion.
After the ride, if you so desire, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the culture of Salento. You can wander through its colorful streets, discover its local crafts and meet its lovely inhabitants. In the village, a delightful lunch awaits you, serving as a reward for conquering the day’s cycling challenge.
This bike day is an incredible ride that perfectly mixes bike park style Enduro trails and All-mountain style Natural trails. In addition, it allows us to know the true essence of the Coffee Cultural Landscape (Declared a World Heritage place by Unesco)
Our day will start riding the best trails in Neira. this is a small and beautiful coffee town close to Manizales. The local community of riders in that area have building trails by themselves that will take your adrenaline to the limit! Then we will ride a bit some roads and rocky paths that will take us to know the most beautiful landscapes of the Cauca River canyon with natural trails that will once again test our ability on the bike.
We’ll end our ride with two of the most famous trails in the country: “Bisoño” and “El Infernal”. They are trails that have been the scene of numerous national Enduro MTB and Downhill championships.
Between at 14:00 and 15:00 in the afternoon we’re going to eat a well-deserved lunch and after we’re going to rest a little and drink a delicious cup of coffee. We’ll return by transport to the accommodation.
The Colombian coffee area will be unforgettable riding from the cold snow-capped mountains of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano at almost 4,000 meters above sea level to the heat of the Sub-Andean jungle (coffee zone) with the perfect settings for mountain biking in mind-blowing landscapes and incredible descents, do you want more?
“El Desquite” route is an internationally recognized mules and horses route that in just 35 kilometers of distance descend almost 3000 meters of elevation lost.
This route includes technical single trails, grass trails and uncovered roads. Do not trust yourself because of the
enormous negative slope that we will reach; positive
unevenness is not far behind. We will have steep ascents, segments with «bike on the shoulder» and the dreaded «climb to heaven.»
At the end of our tour, we will take our lunch and a transport will take us back our lodging.
