The scenario of the present Mountain Bike Tour is the mountainous region around the beautiful city of Manizales (department of Caldas), considered the city with the highest quality of life in all of Colombia, it is located on hillsides that surround the immaculate whiteness of the Nevado Volcano del Ruiz, the snow-capped Santa Isabel and Cisne. Manizales is recognized in Colombia as the capital of the mountain and among the mountain bikers it is recognized as the capital of the Enduro MTB (All Mountain), since it hides numerous singletracks with the ideal conditions to travel in a safe and fun way.

Nestled within Colombia’s picturesque Caldas department, this area is part of the UNESCO-listed Coffee Cultural Landscape. These four trails are known by the local mountain biking community as Guacaica River Trail, Avocado Trail, Sugar Cane Trail and Hummingbird Trail, these trails collectively span an impressive 15.7 km and feature an elevation loss of 1,848 meters.
The landscapes for this single-day enduro tour are located near the city of Manizales, within the buffer zone of Los Nevados National Natural Park. This area is renowned among Colombian mountain bikers as the capital of mountain biking in Colombia, offering a diverse range of terrains and breathtaking scenery. The region’s unique combination of high-altitude trails, lush forests, and expansive coffee plantations provides an unforgettable experience for riders of all skill levels.
This 6 km trail is a diverse mix of singletrack and doubletrack, featuring a 511-meter elevation loss as it winds through lush Andean jungles and tree plantations. Starting north of Manizales, the trail concludes at the picturesque Guacaica River.
This 4.7 km singletrack trail offers a thrilling 569-meter elevation loss, weaving through lush avocado plantations and remnants of Andean jungles. The trail begins on a hill that provides an excellent panoramic view and ends at the serene Guacaica River.
This 3.1 km trail features a dynamic mix of singletrack and doubletrack sections, offering an exhilarating 464-meter elevation loss. The trail winds through vibrant sugar cane and coffee plantations, beginning in the town of Neira and concluding in the heart of the coffee region. Along the way, it provides an exceptional cultural experience with panoramic views of the picturesque Manizales coffee landscape.
Although the Hummingbird Trail is only 1.9 km long, it offers an exhilarating 404-meter elevation loss. This singletrack trail crosses through lush coffee plantations and banana crops.
